Śiva, the auspicious void, embodies destruction, time, and the five elements. Both transcendent and fierce (Rudra), he represents deep sleep, dispassion, and the inner self. His symbols—trident, drum, third eye, crescent moon—reflect control over time, death, and karma. All knowledge, sound, and cosmic functions are rooted in him.
